Wondering how your marketing budget compares to others? Here are highlights from BtoB magazine's new 2010 Marketing Priorities and Plans survey, downloadable at btobonline. Respondents were from B2B and B2C companies, mostly with revenue under $100 million.

 
  • 58% had lower marketing budgets to work with in 2009
  • 39% expect bigger budgets for 2010 (13% expect still more cuts)
  • Objectives will be short-term: 61% say customer acquisition is top priority, vs. 15% who want brand awareness
  • Online spending will grow to a median budget
    share of 30%
  • 54% use social media in their marketing strategy
  • Just 28% say their agency relationship is "excellent"
